What's Involved?

  • The process involved is labor-intensive and thorough. It is not a quick, superficial treatment.

  • We request that all equipment be washed prior to our arrival, however, it does not need to be spotless. Our main concerns are significant accumulations of dirt on panels, glass, tanks, and roof; grease/oil on the sides of the engine (if exposed), and hydraulic fluid around the 3-point area.

  • The preparation prior to application of the coating is the most important and lengthy part of the process.

  • All painted surfaces, tanks, and glass are meticulously decontaminated to ensure there is nothing left that will interfere with the polishing and coating phases. Imperfections and contaminants can compromise the protective qualities of the coating, thus our rigorous process removes these contaminates, ensuring proper coating adhesion.

  • A multi-step machine polishing process refines the paint and enhances its depth and clarity, making the color pop and the surface shine.

  • Once all areas are refreshed and restored, one final chemical preparation step of all areas to be coated is performed

  • An integration of spray gun application alongside hand application is used depending on the specific type of equipment and the areas being coated. Large, flat panels, glass, wheels, and tanks are coated with two layers by hand to ensure thorough coverage and protection. For more complex components, such as an exposed engine block or axle, the initial coat is applied manually to ensure a solid foundation, with the final coat precisely sprayed to achieve optimal coverage and durability.

  • What gets coated – painted plastic surfaces (hood, fenders, roof); black vinyl tanks, fenders, and components; glass; and things such as the 3-point area, engine, axles, wheels, etc. can be coated if in a suitable condition for restoration and coating (additional charges may apply for these areas).

FAQ

Whether you have older equipment that needs to be reset to its original glory, brand new equipment that needs protection to prevent fading right out the gate, or are looking to get top dollar for your trade-in or resale, this service will work for you! The restoration and protection processes used will ensure that your equipment looks the best it possibly can, and will stay looking that way for many years to come. No more faded paint. The reason the paint on farm equipment fades is because it is a single stage paint system that does not have built-in UV protection like modern clear coat systems on vehicles. The coating, which forms a semi-permanent bond to the surface, prevents the sun’s rays, air, and the elements from oxidizing the surface, therefore preventing the paint from fading.

No more needing to wax! One of the biggest benefits that the coating offers is that, unlike waxes, it will not wash away. The coating will lock in the shine, prevent fading, and make it easier to clean the surface for many years. Waxes can actually diminish the performance of the coating and are not recommended to use.

Great question! And the truth is, it depends. It can vary depending on the region, how the equipment is used, chemical exposure, and with how it’s cared for. However, with proper care, one can realistically expect it to last many years.

Well, dust sticks to everything . Yes, dust and dirt will inevitably land on the equipment and therefore, no horizontal surface is going to be dust-free, no matter what’s on it. However, because of the coating, dirt/dust does not stick to the surface like it does with a wax. It’s easy to blow off or hose off any dust/dirt.

Yes, we guarantee that our coatings will last for at least three years. When maintained correctly, the longevity of the coating can be significantly extended. We stand by our work, so if something doesn’t appear right, please don’t hesitate to call.

Can you buy all the necessary tools, chemicals, and materials to prepare and coat your equipment yourself? Yes.

Will it look as good or last as long as what we can do for you? No.

Take the guess-work and time involved out of the equation, and just sit back, relax, and enjoy your shiny and easy to clean equipment.

The time required for each piece of equipment will vary depending on size and condition. However, here’s a general breakdown for various pieces of equipment:

  • Tractors: the process for tractors typically spans 1-2 days
  • Sleeper Semi Trucks, Grain Trailers: These large vehicles typically require 1-2 days
  • Combines, spreaders, sprayers: Being some of the most intricate pieces of agricultural equipment, combines, spreaders, and sprayers typically require between 2-4 days for a thorough job.
  • It’s worth noting that while these estimates provide a general idea, the actual time can vary based on the specific condition of the equipment, the environment in which the work is being done, and the specific products being used.

Yes! We do run specials throughout the year, and we typically always have multi-unit discounts available. Please let us know if interested in doing multiple units, so that we can put together a package for you.

No, we travel all over the country! However, it’s important to note that we do not travel for single, small pieces of equipment.

The full cure time for any equipment is 9 days. For equipment that will be exposed to chemicals, this full 9-day curing period is necessary before use. For all other equipment not immediately working with chemicals, a 24-hour curing period is adequate prior to full use.

The protective layer we apply makes cleaning more straightforward. Dirt and grime don’t adhere as strongly, and as a result, washing becomes quicker, saving both time and money. Your standard soaps you use to clean your equipment may work just fine, but it’s important to use soaps that don’t have any waxes built in. These waxes can impact coating performance. We recommend using the soap line designed to keep the coating functioning at its best. Ask us about discounts available on this soap package.
